Guam Diary: The First Day

ENG: I am always very nervous being on the other side of the camera. This awkward feeling has come to my memory today during press-conference in the Bank of Guam, where we are gathered in festive atmosphere under sensitive control of journalists for getting precious credit VISA cards.

RU: Я всегда очень волнуюсь, оказываясь по другую сторону «кадра». Об этом неловком ощущении вспомнилось сегодня во время пресс-конференции в Bank of Guam , где мы собрались, чтобы в торжественной обстановке, под чутким надзором журналистов получить заветные кредитки VISA.

We are the following: myself and seven bloggers from all parts of the world: Jenni from Philippines, Jessica from California, Chihiro from Japan, Hyeji from Korea, Patricia from Hong Kong, Tahara from China and Hsiang Hsiang Chang from Taiwan. We all have got a unique chance to fall in love with Guam once and forever. And I am already falling in love.

Мы – это я и еще семь блоггеров с разных концов света: Дженни из Филиппин, Джессика из Калифорнии, Чихиро из Японии, Хьюджи из Кореи, Патрисия из Гонконга, Тахара из Китая и Ксианг-Ксианг из Тайвани. Нам всем выпала уникальная возможность влюбиться в Гуам раз и навсегда. И я уже влюбляюсь.

The most unforgettable question from television is what I want to find here. Sour of the moment I answer that I will find a small part of Guam and take it away with me. And silently still being very nervous because of the stupid “other side of the camera” feeling.

Самый запомнившийся вопрос от телевидения - что я хотела бы здесь найти. Без раздумий отвечаю, что обязательно найду частичку Гуама и заберу ее с собой. Про себя по-прежнему очень волнуюсь, все из-за той же таинственной другой стороны «кадра».

The next point of our schedule is a breakfast in Ruby Tuesday restaurant. Ordering wine instead of lobster: time zones definitely gone mad (it`s evening in Moscow now, but I want to eat eggs). 

 Следующим пунктом нашей программы становится завтрак в ресторане Ruby Tuesday. Вместо лобстеров заказываем вино: часовые пояса окончательно сходят с ума (в Москве сейчас вечер, а хочется яичницу).

Finally I am a full participant of Black Friday – sure lots of you have heard about traditional day in USA when all shops makes great sales. And we got into the same one on GPO – the biggest outlet in GUAM. Here are presented such brands as Nine West, BCBGMAXAZRIA, American Vintage, Guess, and Levis as well.

 Наконец я становлюсь полноправным участником Black Friday – уверена, многие слышали о традиционном для США дне, когда все магазины устраивают грандиозные распродажи. Именно на такую мы попадаем в GPO - самый крупный аутлет на Гуаме. Здесь представлены Nine West, BCBGMAXAZRIA, American Vintage, Guess, а также Levis.

Proactively taking the second pair of shoes, we spread out through the shops. Three hours of shopping, and then in the evening – dinner in Sand Castle - a magic place in it`s literal sense.The dress by Wandering Minds is the permanent attribute of the first day in Guam.

Предусмотрительно захватив с собой вторую пару обуви, мы разбегаемся по магазинам. Три часа шоппинга, а вечером – ужин в Sand Castle – магическом месте в буквальном смысле этого слова. Платье от Wandering Minds остается неизменным атрибутом первого дня на Гуаме.
