Vintage Tuesday

ENG: I have spoken about my love for vintage cloths numerous times, but with each day past my comprehension of the seriousness of the situation grows. For instance now, when a european part of Russia is covered by a typical dead season, and I – voluntary witness of the following with my vintage dress share the deserted streets.

RU: О своей любви к винтажным вещам я говорила уже ни раз, но с каждым днем я все больше осознаю серьезность ситуации. Например, сейчас, когда европейскую часть России накрыл типичный мертвый сезон, а я - добровольный наблюдатель этой картины, мы с винтажным платьем делим пустынные улицы.

By the way it is from Amsterdam and we got to that vintage stall via bike ride. Inside, an owner awaited us, in whose sincere smile I wanted to believe more than the smell of near-by coffee shops. Needless to say, inside the shop was its own spirit hard to confuse with anything else – the smell of old age. To forever remember it I only needed an hour – the exact amount of time I spent digging into countless suitcases filled with handkerchiefs and hangers with dresses. And here I am, ready to carry a heavy motorcycle suit and… the main thing was to stop at the right time. :)

Кстати, оно родом из Амстерадама, а в ту винтажную лавочку мы добрались на велосипедах. Внутри нас ожидала хозяйка, в искреннюю улыбку которой хотелось верить больше, чем в запах соседних кофешопов. Впрочем, внутри у магазина был свой собственный дух, который вряд ли с чем-то спутаешь - дух старины. На то, чтобы запомнить его навсегда, мне потребовался час - именно столько я провела, зарываясь в бесчисленные чемоданы с платками и вешалки с платьями. И вот я уже готова нести на кассу неподъемный мотоциклетный костюм, и... главное было вовремя остановиться. :)

The shop owner noticed my love for vintage and conspiringly smiling gave me a dress and silk handkerchiefs as a gift. Maybe, for the purpose of this momentary episode to bring a smile to my face and travel in thought around the empty streets in completely different vicinity. 

Хозяйка магазина заметила мою любовь к винтажным вещам, и, заговорчески улыбаясь, вручила платье и шелковые платки в подарок. Наверное, чтобы потом этот мимолетный эпизод заставлял улыбаться и путешествовать мыслями по пустынным улицам в совершенно другой земной полосе. 

With the dress gained in new history, as is a custom for vintage treasures.

А платье обрело свою новую историю, как и положено винтажным ценностям.
